The Brief
Lumapixel required a web design befitting of the quality of work they produce and the brand they’ve built since their formation in 2007. A video production company, Lumapixel required a dynamic, interactive, yet functional website that reflected the immersive nature of their service offerings.
The Solution
Lumapixel’s new homepage places strong emphasis on their brand while showcasing key videos and showreels is a modern, dynamic, and immersive design. Functional yet interactive, Lumapixel.com now balances various elements of engaging UX/UI design technologies with form and functionality, providing easy access to inner services, core pages, and calls-to-action.
The Concept
When determining the website’s design, we anticipated a high volume of videos. We developed a layout that showcases their work in a modern and intuitive manner, while maintaining optimal site speed and performance.

Lumapixel is comprised of highly creative individuals who continuously generate new ideas. To facilitate easier updates, we developed a design system that enables the design team to quickly work on revisions and create new pages.
Technical UX/UI
Lumapixel’s new website utilises a range of technical UX/UI elements in its build, designed to balance the need for the business to showcase its creative output; a customer’s desire to access information efficiently.
Dynamic logo
We added a dynamic feature where a large logo at the bottom transitions smoothly to a smaller version as it moves up to the header. This reflects the high standards the company maintains in their field.
Homepage Scroll
For a modern touch, we implemented smooth scrolling and various effects for each section on the homepage, enhancing the user experience.
Mobile-First
While the website performs well across all devices, we prioritised a mobile-first approach, given that most users access the site via their phones.
Technical Performance Speed
Using nth Degree’s custom WordPress theme, the website is designed to achieve a high grade in GTMetrix’s performance report.
To achieve this, we:

- Strictly adhered to Google’s Core Web Vitals specifications
- Strictly adhered to W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
Search Engine Optimisation
We implemented an extended SEO-targeted site architecture across the website, keyword-researching each and every sub-service the business offers, all housed in an optimal nested URL hierarchy.
For these pages–32 in total–we produced optimised content to outperform its competitors across Google’s Natural Language Processing algorithms.
Each page’s header structure had also been tightly themed, with optimised meta data produced for each page as well as relevant Schema implementations.
