UX/UI Case Study

The Brief

Road Manager is an industry-leading SaaS platform providing governments and independent companies with a complete traffic management platform for use during large events or other disruptions to transport infrastructure. Their old website had served its purpose and it was time to elevate its positioning and functionality to optimally represent the high-end technology and user experience that their own platform is renowned for.

The Solution

We turned a somewhat dated and underwhelming brochure website into a vibrant and modern front-end for what is a modern and engaging technology platform. We also introduced large brand elements to showcase the client’s authority in the industry, and introduced an array of screenshots that show the platform’s capabilities in highly trafficked areas of the website.

The Concept

Road Manager is a road and traffic management SaaS platform, but its website was heavily text-based rather than visually engaging. To address this, we introduced screenshots of the software on various devices, improved visual hierarchy, and added illustrative elements, all while maintaining a dynamic feel.

Design System

To ensure efficiency, scalability, and maintainability in the design and development process, we created a design system that centralises buttons and other components as a key resource.

Tutorial Resources

We organised training resources, which include numerous screenshots and tips, into a carousel format. This structure allows users to navigate the content seamlessly and improves their learning experience.

Search Engine Optimisation

RoadManager has one key competitor in the industry, and this UX/UI endeavour gave us the opportunity to implement a new optimised sitemap and launch optimised pages for the platform’s features and specifications.

Thorough keyword research was performed which guided our copywriters in producing optimised content to outperform their primary competitor.

The SEO aspect of this project is a global play, with Road Manager seeking visibility in the US, Australia, and several European countries. We devised a geo-targeting to serve optimised and localised content in each of these locations.

The technical performance and speed optimisation, achieved through Nth Degree’s custom WordPress theme, exemplify the commitment to providing technological proficiencies in every project we undertake. This attention to a critical detail, as evidenced by the high grade in GTMetrix’s performance report, is a standard we deploy across all projects and we treat technical performance as non-negotiable if the website is to perform well on search.

The strategic focus on SEO is key to ensuring that the website becomes a legitimate business tool for attracting new subscribers. We measure the success of our projects by bottom lines.
